Environmental Efforts

Repairing cars involves working with a number of products that are harmful to the environment unless care is taken to manage their disposal. Regulations are in place that dictate responsible disposal of these products, however the reality is that many small business' either do not know the regulations, are not willing to face the expense of following the regulations, or just don't want to go to the trouble.

Corporate Autoworks takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously and has an active programme to manage the safe disposal of harmful waste from its operations.

Used Oils and Oil Filters

Are collected and picked up regularly to be recycled. This not only keeps the waste from entering municipal sewers or the water table, it helps to reduce the amount of new petroleum required.

Used oil filters can contain significant amounts of both used oil, and metals (from the engine). Corporate Autoworks collects all used oil filters and has them picked up for proper disposal.

Antifreeze

Antifreeze, particularly used antifreeze, can be very harmful to the environment. The main constituent, ethylene glycol is a poison, and the used product can contain metals from the engine.

Corporate Autoworks saves the used antifreeze from radiator work and a disposal company comes in and picks it up on a regular schedule.

Used Tires
Corporate Auto collects its old tires and has a recycler pickup up the tires whenever there are sufficient tires on hand to make the pickup.
